About the Teacher

I am finishing my training to become a high school English teacher and hope to teach grades 9-12 in a southwest Missouri high school. I was a student teach and long-term substitute at Nixa High School last spring, where I taught English I and II as well as Journalism classes. I like to try to use as much technology in my classroom as possible. Technology is a tool and it is our job to find its highest and best uses, rather than simply using it because we can. I will make sure our use of technology suits our best purposes, and that I am as clear in directing my students on its use as I can be. When I'm not teaching, I like to spend time with my husband, Scott, our two dogs, Fiona and Quigley, and my extended family, which includes a whole bunch of very spoiled nieces and nephews. |
